Loewe Technology has expanded its AV line-up with the Klang sub1, the company’s first subwoofer with a wireless Bluetooth TV connection.

The compact sub has been designed to complement the integrated audio solutions of Loewe TVs (from the SL3), creating a 2.1 sound system. Designed and developed at the company’s headquarters in Kronach, Germany, the Klang sub1 claims to be 50 per cent smaller than conventional subwoofers, making it an interiors friendly solution for deeper bass.

As it’s wireless, the klang sub1 can be positioned anywhere in the room, to best integrate with its surroundings.

The puck-shaped sub is wrapped in acoustic fabric. The design incorporates four free-swinging passive cones, combined with two active bass speakers in the shape of a hexagon, to reduce vibration. Power output is rated at 160 watts.

The Klang Sub 1 retails for £399.
