Lithe Audio has added KNX support to its popular Pro Series of in-ceiling speakers, allowing them to be more easily integrated into a KNX-based smart home system. The move should further encourage installers to adopt the line for residential retrofits and commercial installations.
The Lithe Audio Pro Series speaker is a wireless installation model with a fully-integrated, built-in 60W RMS class D amplifier and PoE power delivery.
The model also supports multi-channel WiSA technology for the delivery of Dolby Atmos audio, making the models an attractive option for home theatre systems.
Residential applications include use in bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms. Magnetic grille covers can be removed easily for cleaning or for replacement with a different coloured finish, and can be painted to match the ceiling for a near-invisible look.
Multi-room playback is available in up to 5 different zones.
The upgraded firmware in the Pro Series speaker for KNX includes on-board memory alarms, chimes and tones as well as doorbell and intruder alert sounds.
Once integrated within a KNX system, an assortment of speaker functions can be controlled, including play and pause, and source selection (including radio, podcasts, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music).
The Pro Series speakers use a BAB Technologie app module, and available lighting circuit, and corresponding Smart Home app; the speakers can be integrated wirelessly or over ethernet.
