Gryphon Audio Designs has introduced the Gryphon 40 integrated amplifier, a limited-edition flagship to mark its 40th anniversary.
An evolution of the company’s Diablo series, the new model draws directly from the engineering platform established by the Diablo 333. While the internal architecture is based on that award-winner, the new amplifier incorporates mechanical and visual updates designed specifically for the anniversary edition. Led by Chief Designer Tom Møller, the project places emphasis on Gryphon’s Scandinavian design identity, blending contemporary engineering with details inspired by four decades of product development.
Each unit is supplied with a dedicated presentation package intended to underline its limited-edition status. This includes a leather-bound owner’s manual, a 40th-anniversary letter from founder Flemming E. Rasmussen, and a hand-signed sketch of one of his original design concepts.
At its core, the Gryphon 40 continues the engineering direction set by the reference grade Diablo 333. The company says that the model benefits from refined power delivery, upgraded component selection and mechanical enhancements that contribute to lower noise and improved stability. Although specific technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, the platform is designed to support demanding loudspeaker installations and to operate as a central hub within premium two-channel systems.
For installers, the unit’s integrated architecture offers a streamlined alternative to separates while retaining the headroom and dynamic capability associated with Gryphon’s standalone components, while the mechanical updates are intended to support long-term reliability.
The Gryphon 40 Integrated Amplifier is priced at £27,995. Orders are open now until December 31 2025, with availability strictly limited.
