LG has secured five wins at this year’s EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) Awards, including three key accolades for its OLED and QNED displays. All its winning sets offer support for both Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos, and have high-specification HDMI connectivity and advanced smart features.
LG’s 65-inch G1 OLED TV (pictured above) was named EISA Best Premium OLED TV 2021-2022. The LG 65G1 is the first LG TV to employ the brand’s ultra-bright OLED evo panel and powerful α (Alpha) 9 Gen 4 AI processor. It was hailed as “a thrilling statement” by EISA judges.
LG’s 48-inch C1 OLED TV took EISA’s inaugural Best Gaming TV award. Offering support for Dolby Vision HDR across all four of its HDMI inputs, the 48-inch 4K 120Hz screen size is intended for for both living rooms and gaming dens. The screen introduces LG’s Game Optimiser and Game Dashboard, with genre-specific presets and customisable display settings as well as variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM) for tear-free visuals and responsive control.
This year’s EISA 8K TV accolade went to LG QNED Mini LED TV, which combines Quantum Dot NanoCell Colour Technology and mini LED backlight. LG’s Quantum Dot NanoCell panel promises enhanced brightness, deeper blacks and vibrant hues; multiple dimming zones delivering precision illumination for an ultra-high contrast ratio.
The manufacturer also won in the soundbar category. Named EISA Soundbar Innovation, the LG Eclair is LG’s most compact soundbar to date, and features a chic, rounded design encased in a stylish fabric. This small but powerful unit also features a wireless subwoofer with twin 5.25-inch drivers and bipolar configuration that minimises vibrations.
The LG Tone also secured a win in the EISA In-Ear Headphones category, for outstanding sound with advanced features. Boasting LG’s new 3D Sound Stage technology, the LG FP8 creates an authentic sense of space, thanks to larger drivers and diaphragms. LG’s UVnano case with UV-C LED also eliminates germs and bacteria from the eartips while recharging (wired or wirelessly). The earbuds have a 10-hour battery life and IPX4 rating.
