LG hopes to take a lead in immersive home audio with the launch of LG Sound Suite, a modular wireless audio system built around Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. Launching at CES 2026, the system is positioned as a more flexible alternative to conventional soundbar and full blown home theatre packages, aiming to simplify installation while supporting complex, immersive audio layouts.

LG Sound Suite comprises the H7 soundbar, M7 and M5 wireless surround speakers, and the W7 wireless subwoofer. The system offers various setup permutations, up to a full 13.1.7-channel home theatre.

The H7 soundbar is the world’s first to support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect will also be enabled on LG’s 2026 premium TVs, and selected 2025 models via a future software update, extending the ecosystem beyond the Sound Suite hardware itself.
Rather than relying on fixed speaker roles and precise placement, FlexConnect dynamically maps the position of each speaker in a room and adapts audio rendering accordingly. For custom installers, this offers greater freedom in speaker positioning and reduces the need for complex calibration, particularly in living spaces where traditional layouts are impractical.

LG has added further room-aware intelligence through a Sound Follow feature, which uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to adjust the listening focus based on the user’s location. Working alongside FlexConnect, the system aims to maintain a consistent immersive effect across different seating positions. Room Calibration Pro complements this by analysing the acoustic characteristics of the space and applying AI-based processing to balance and optimise output.

Processing in the H7 soundbar is handled by LG’s Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3, the same platform used in the company’s flagship OLED TVs. In audio applications, the processor supports AI Sound Pro+, which can up-mix stereo sources into multi-channel output and apply object-based separation to improve clarity between dialogue, music and effects. The system also adapts its tuning based on content type, with the goal of maintaining consistent performance across films, television, sport and games.

All components in the LG Sound Suite use Peerless speaker drivers, a familiar name in premium loudspeaker production. LG says this choice is intended to ensure consistent acoustic performance across the modular system, regardless of configuration.

Connectivity is fully wireless between system components, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support for streaming and device integration.

“Together with Dolby, we’ve made immersive audio flexible for every home, LG Sound Suite is a testament to our shared focus on audio innovation,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s Audio Business Division. “LG Sound Suite combines Dolby Atmos FlexConnect with its wireless modular design and AI-driven tuning, so consumers can create the system they want and enjoy cinematic sound from any seat.”
