KEF has unveiled the all new Coda W, an all-in-one speaker that bridges the gap between classic audio playback and wireless convenience. The company has hailed it as a premium solution for vinyl lovers and streaming enthusiasts alike, and at first glance certainly looks to be an elegant solution for spaces where traditional Hi-Fi components may be impractical.

At the heart of the next-gen Coda W is a 5.25-inch 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array, which places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the woofer, allowing sound to radiate more evenly across the room. This design is a longstanding KEF signature and delivers natural dispersion and cohesion.

The unit is powered by a combined 200 W system, with dedicated amplifiers for both tweeter (30W) and woofer (70W) in each module. KEF’s Music Integrity Engine (MIE) DSP suite is tuned specifically for this system, helping refine tonal balance, preserve clarity at higher volume and maintain coherence across source types.

In keeping with wireless expectations, the Coda W supports Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive, and includes aptX Lossless support for CD-quality streaming (16-bit/44.1 kHz).

For vinyl aficionados, the speaker sports an integrated phono pre-amplifier so you can connect most MM-equipped turntables directly. For decks with built-in preamps, a LINE RCA input is provided.

Other interfaces include HDMI ARC (allowing the system to substitute for a soundbar), USB-C (up to 24-bit/192 kHz), optical, RCA line inputs, and a subwoofer output, with support for a wireless sub via an optional KW1 adapter kit.

Control comes via top-panel buttons, or the KEF Connect App. A 3m interspeaker cable is included as standard. For greater flexibility, Coda W is also compatible with the optional 8metre C-Link interspeaker cable, allowing for customised speaker placement to suit any room configuration. Additionally, Coda W can be paired with optional SQ1 floor stands, which offer a stable platform for elevated positioning and optimal listening height.

The Coda W is available in Vintage Burgundy, Nickel Grey, Moss Green, Midnight Blue, and Dark Titanium finishes, and sells for £799. For more visit KEF.com.
