KEF will add a new in-wall/in-ceiling speaker to its Architectural Speaker E-Series range this October, with the launch of the Ci160ES.
The latest architectural speaker to feature the brand’s famed Uni-Q driver technology, the Ci160ES features a 160mm Uni-Q driver array, with 16mm aluminium dome tweeter placed at the centre of the mid-range cone. This enables it to offer a wide spread of sound from a single point source.
With a square Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) it’s a discreet addition for any whole house audio system, and both bezel and grille can be painted to match interior design. It joins the existing 130mm, 160mm, and 200mm round, in-ceiling models.
In line with the rest of the range, the Ci160ES is manufactured to Weather Resistant Construction standards; the enclosure has a IP64 rating. Grilles are coated via a proprietary process, and moisture-resistant terminations are used. The plastics are UV protected, for use in kitchen and bathrooms.
When the Ci160ES ships in October, it will retail for £250 per pair. Distribution is by GP Acoustics.
