Hisense has strengthened its appeal to the professional home integration market with the launch of a new Control4 driver for its VIDAA smart TVs. Developed in collaboration with automation specialist Chowmainsoft, the driver enables seamless IP-based integration between Hisense displays and Control4 smart home systems.
Designed with the needs of custom installers in mind, the driver allows full two-way control of key TV functions, including power, volume, input switching, transport controls, channel selection, and app launching. Supported apps include Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and Disney+, with real-time feedback ensuring that the Control4 interface accurately reflects the TV’s status at all times.
Robert Andrews, Head of Strategy & GTM TV at Hisense UK, describes the release as “an exciting new chapter in the evolution of our TV proposition.” He adds: “By working with Chowmainsoft, we’re upgrading smart home integration and making Hisense TVs even more accessible and attractive to the custom install market. As the global No.1 brand in 100-inch+ TVs, we see this as a crucial step in positioning Hisense as the go-to choice for large screen residential installations.”
Chowmainsoft Managing Director Alan Chow notes that the new driver responds directly to growing demand from integrators. “We’re excited to have partnered with Hisense to deliver a reliable Control4 driver that meets the needs of both professionals and end users,” he says. “This launch is just the beginning, we’re actively working with Hisense on additional integrations across other major automation platforms.”
For custom installers, this development simplifies the integration process and ensures reliable performance in sophisticated AV environments, particularly as demand increases for super-sized screens with premium functionality. For homeowners, it promises a more intuitive, unified entertainment experience, all managed from a single smart interface.
The driver is compatible with a wide range of VIDAA-powered Hisense TV models and is available now via www.chowmainsoft.com.
