Hisense is putting the focus on Mini LED technology in 2023, releasing three new 4k screens using the technology. The U series models comprise the U6, U7 (pictured top) and U8, and are available in screen sizes from 55- to 100-inches.
The range topping U8K is available in 55-, 65-, and 75-inches, and employs Quantum Dot technology for an enhanced colour performance.
The model uses Hisense’s proprietary Hi-View Engine picture processor, able to enhance image quality with real-time frame-level analysis. The set is also High Frame Rate compatible, supporting refresh rates up to 144hz. It sports a forward-facing 2.1.2 multi-channel audio system with Dolby Atmos compatibility. Prices start from £1,299.
Similarly specified, but sans QD, the U7K is available in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, and 100-inch screens sizes, with prices starting at £1,199. Gamers will be interested in its 144hz Game Mode Pro functionality, while home cinema fans will appreciate the provision of Dolby Vision IQ and IMAX Enhanced certification. It also supports Dolby Atmos audio.
The brand’s Mini LED entry level offering is the U6K. Available in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes, from £999, the model utilises Hisense’s Hi-View Engine, along with Smooth Motion Processing to reduce judder.
Arun Bhatoye, Head of Marketing at Hisense UK says the brand wants to own the Mini LED space: “With this new range we have focused on developing our Mini-LED technology to really own this space and become emerging leaders within the category.”
