Hisense has used its Munich trade showcase to commit to RGB-MiniLED TV technology and super large screen sizes. The brand currently claims top market spot when it comes to 100-inch and larger models, for July–December 2025, according to GfK data. It also impressed trade attendees with its growing line of high-brightness laser projectors.

Leading the brand’s premium TV line-up for 2026 is the UR9S, available in 65-, 75- and 85-inch screen sizes. This flagship RGB-MiniLED display reaches 4,000 nits peak brightness and employs an anti-reflection, glare-free screen treatment, making it especially suitable for brighter family rooms and multi-purpose media spaces.

At its heart is the Hi-View AI Engine RGB, Hisense’s most advanced processor to date, handling real-time optimisation of resolution, contrast, colour and motion. The set also integrates a 4.1.2-channel sound system tuned by Devialet, combining height channels, dedicated surrounds and an internal subwoofer to create a more immersive Dolby Atmos presentation than most integrated TV audio solutions.

Positioned directly beneath the UR9S is the UR8S. It retains much of the flagship’s specification, including 3,500 nits peak brightness, a native 180Hz Game Mode, anti-reflection treatment and the same Hi-View AI Engine approach. Its 2.1.2-channel Devialet-tuned audio system gives it credible standalone performance, but for installers the more significant story is the 100-inch screen option, which reflects the continued move towards projector-scale flat panels in dedicated media rooms and premium lounge installations.

Inside CI was invited to take a closer look at the new RGB-MiniLED models, and was impressed with their deep colour performance and extreme contrast. The technology clearly lends itself well to media room duties, and are ideal for sports and gaming.

Supporting the RGB-MiniLED tier is the U8Q, designated Mini LED Pro, and available from 55 inches up to 100 inches. Notably, this model actually exceeds the UR9 in raw luminance, with 5,000 nits peak brightness, making it a compelling option for high-ambient-light spaces where HDR punch is a design priority.

Additional specification includes 165Hz Game Mode, a 4.1.2 Dolby Atmos sound system, and Anti Reflection Pro screen treatment.

Further down the range, the U7S Pro and U7S continue the Mini LED story in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85- and 100-inch sizes.

The U7S Pro offers 3,000 nits peak brightness, 165Hz Game Mode, and a 2.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound system tuned by Devialet. The U7S lowers brightness to 1,400 nits, creating a more accessible step into large-screen Mini LED.

At the more affordable end sits the E8S, a Hi-QLED MiniLED model available in 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes.

All models incorporate Freely, for wireless free-to-air TV.
