New from California-based Magico, the S7 2026 is the latest flagship for its S Series loudspeaker range, aimed at the ultra-premium residential audio market. Designed and engineered at the company’s facility in the San Francisco Bay Area, the model replaces the long-running S7, which concluded a decade-long production run in 2025.

The new model, scheduled to ship in the third quarter of 2026, draws heavily on technology developed for Magico’s flagship M Series, including engineering methods first deployed in the near-million-pound M9 system.

You’ll need space to accommodate one. Standing nearly1.42 metres tall and weighing 174kg, the S7 2026 is a three-way, five-driver floorstander built around a substantial aluminium enclosure. The cabinet’s curved and sculpted form has been refined through extensive 3D simulation.

During development, Magico engineers reportedly used a Near-Field Scanner (NFS) measurement system to analyse the loudspeaker’s acoustic behaviour across the full three-dimensional sound field. The resulting data allowed the design team to refine on- and off-axis performance and optimise the loudspeaker’s crossover and driver integration.

The S7 2026 employs five units arranged in a three-way configuration, including a 28mm diamond-coated beryllium tweeter derived directly from Magico’s M Series platform. The high-frequency driver uses a powerful neodymium motor system and an acoustically optimised rear chamber intended to reduce distortion and improve power handling.

Midrange duties are handled by a 6-inch driver built around Magico’s Gen 8 Nano-Tec cone, a composite structure featuring an aluminium honeycomb core sandwiched between graphene-reinforced carbon-fibre skins. The design aims to balance low mass with high rigidity and damping, helping to minimise distortion while maintaining accurate transient response.

Low-frequency reproduction is delivered by three 10-inch woofers using the same Gen 8 Nano-Tec cone technology. The vertically aligned woofer configuration mitigates floor-bounce effects and provides a more consistent mid-bass response in typical listening environments.
According to the manufacturer, the enlarged internal cabinet volume, up from 135 litres in the previous flagship to 180 litres, allows bass response to extend an additional 5Hz without affecting sensitivity.

The enclosure itself is constructed from thick aluminium panels. A precision three-foot support system with constrained-layer damping provides mechanical stability.

The speaker is available in a choice of 12 finishes, split across two categories: six Softec powder-coat finishes, designed for durability and texture, and six High Gloss automotive finishes polished to a mirror-like sheen.

The Magico S7 2026 is set at £159,000 per pair for Softec finishes and £178,000 per pair for High Gloss finishes.
