Streaming ecosystem Heos, as used by Denon and Marantz, has received a significant upgrade that repositions it squarely as a music platform, with more intuitive access to music and podcasts.
A backbone of connected devices from the Massimo stable, Heos is compatible with a wide range of speakers and soundbars. Up to 64 Heos devices can be connected on a single network, making it particularly useful for larger connected installations.
The new look Heos comes with a revamped user interface, complete with Now Playing display at the bottom of the screen, offering track information at a glance, and an enhanced home screen.
The Home screen serves up recently played tracks, favourite music, and Heos playlists.
Universal Search has also been introduced, which allows users to find music across multiple streaming platforms and personal libraries simultaneously.
The new Heos update is also said to bring with it updates in functionality, including device accessibility, wireless surround technology, enhanced login security, uninterrupted playback, streamlined in-app controls, audio synchronisation, and in-app messaging.
