HEA Distribution acquires Sonos accessories brand Flexson

Flexson, the Sonos accessories brand, has been acquired by HEA Distribution, becoming the first own-brand in HEA Distribution's audio portfolio. To support the acquisition, the HEA Distribution team will be strengthened by two key new team members, Mark Glen and Rob Neil, between them bringing decades of brand and industry expertise.

The move, which returns the Flexson to members of its founding team, is hailed as a natural and deliberate homecoming. HEA Distribution says it plans a renewed focus on what originally distinguished Flexson among installers, retailers and Sonos customers: “Beautifully designed, precision-engineered accessories that enable users to get more from their speakers and soundbars.”

The Flexson for Sonos portfolio comprises wall mounts, floor stands, TV brackets and specialist mounting solutions, each designed to integrate Sonos products seamlessly into any environment , be it residential, hospitality, commercial or custom installation.

HEA Distribution has also snapped up the SoundXtra accessories brands from Exertis UK, known for stands, mounts and installation solutions for Apple, Bose, Denon (HEOS) and Samsung products.

To support the acquisition, HEA Distribution has appointed Mark Glen as Director of Own Brands. Mark brings almost 20 years’ experience of the Sonos universe and own-brand management to this new role, including a long association with the Flexson and SoundXtra brands.
He’s joined by Rob Neil, as International Sales Director Own Brands. Rob has decades of industry experience and is a renowned specialist in scaling global sales via distribution partnerships.

With deep expertise in the Sonos ecosystem, the HEA team is committed to ensuring Flexson remains the first choice for anyone seeking to install, position or optimise a Sonos setup. The refreshed direction places equal emphasis on the requirements of consumer, commercial and custom installation customers, with new product development and further innovation already under way.
