Harman Flux acquisition confirmed at Audio Collab 2023

Harman International has announced the acquisition of Flux Software Engineering.

Flux:SE is a digital audio software specialist that serves sound engineers and producers in the professional audio, broadcast, post production and mastering industry. It’s a recognised innovator in the realm of immersive audio.

The news was confirmed by Ben Todd, Senior Application Manager at Harman Professional, at the Audio Collaborative 2023 industry event in London, hosted by Futuresource Consulting.

Todd said the move represents a significant step towards bringing immersive experiences to live and recorded productions, declaring “The future is looking very interesting and really quite exciting.”

Immersive audio is increasingly finding a role at live events where it can be used to greatly enhance the experience offered during concerts and sports. Harman JBL is a major player in the live events and stadium business.

Harman is a title sponsor of Audio Collaborative.
