With new demonstration facilities at the ready, distributor Habitech reports it’s ready to help integrators get the most from Samsung’s CI-oriented TV lines, including the MicroLED proposition The Wall, the interiors friendly The Frame series and Samsung’s outdoor screen, The Terrace.

Installers and their clients are invited to the distributor’s new suite of home environments, recently completed at Basingstoke, where customers can experience the Samsung displays within a residential setting.

The facility also offers CI pros an opportunity to appreciate the sheer scale of The Wall. Constructed from MicroLED modules, The Wall is a customizable display for multiple applications. A 4 x 4 module build creates a 146-in display at 4K resolution, while an 8 x 8 construction delivers a 292-inch wall at 8K resolution.

Each MicroLED pixel is the product of a cluster of three tiny self-emissive RGB LEDs. This means that the brightness and colour of every pixel can be controlled precisely or turned off entirely to create a perfect black for maximum contrast and optimum colour.

Musch like Samsung’s QLED screens, The Wall has an Ambient mode for décor-matching artwork. Outside of a resi environment, it can also be used for hospitality, office and retail installs. Alongside the modular IW008R model designed for luxury living environments, Habitech will also be supporting the CAT-connected IW008J and IW012J products, equipped with a pixel pitch more appropriate for commercial projects.
On a small scale, The Frame QLED smart TV combines a 4k UHD display with picture-like bezels and flush-fitting display. The Frame’s ‘Art Store’ subscription service also unlimited access to art and photography, while personal images can be also uploaded via the SmartThings app or USB drive.

Standard smart functionality comes via Samsung’s Tizen smart platform. Available from Habitech in 32-, 43-, 50-, 55-, 65- and 75-inch sizes, The Frame is a unique option for media rooms and living spaces.

Given that most of us will be spending an inordinate amount of time at home this year, Samsung’s 4K QLED smart TV The terrace has growing appeal. IP55 weatherproof and at just 6cm deep, with black steel frame and anti-glare display technology, it’s ideal for BBQ binge-watching. Brightness is rated atAverage bnits. The set features a full suite of streaming apps, including Disney+, Apple TV, NOW TV and BT Sport. It’s available in 55-, 65- and 75-inch screen sizes.
