Full Origin Acoustics speaker range available from Alltrade from July

Origin Acoustics is dramatically expanding its presence in the UK, announcing a comprehensive new distribution agreement with Alltrade Ltd.

The news marks a significant step in Origin Acoustics' ambitions within the UK CI sector, giving the architectural audio specialist access to one of the country's largest CI trade distribution networks, and placing its portfolio within easier reach of installers nationwide.

The agreement builds on an existing deal between the two companies, following Alltrade's distribution of Origin's SpeakerSnap mounting solution. From July 2026, the partnership broadens to include the full Origin Acoustics and OriginPRO ranges across Alltrade's ten UK branches.

The arrangement will combine product availability with local stockholding and next-day delivery. Alltrade says its dedicated fleet reaches around 90 per cent of UK postcodes the following day, allowing integrators to source products quickly for both planned projects and last-minute requirements.

The move also aligns with one of Origin Acoustics' longstanding selling points: installation efficiency. The company's patented bayonet ring mounting system allows multiple speaker models to share a common cut-out size, and supports tool-free installation, reducing time on site and simplifying product changes during a project.

Jose Coelho, International Business Director at Origin Acoustics, said UK integrators are increasingly looking for products that install efficiently and can be delivered quickly when needed.

"The UK integrator doesn't need another catalogue,” he says. “They need products that install cleanly, sound great, and a distributor who can get them on-site tomorrow. Alltrade's branch network and training rooms mean installers can hear the Director Series, feel the bayonet click, and walk out with stock, not a brochure."

He said Alltrade's branch network and training facilities would allow integrators to experience products such as the Director Series in person while also providing immediate access to stock.

Lee Harding, CI Technical Director at Alltrade, said the distributor's approach extended beyond simply holding inventory, with training and technical support forming an important part of the offering.

"I've known this product inside out for years,” he said. “Having experts like Peter Alloway on our team, who knows the Origin range backwards, means we're not just stocking boxes. We're training integrators, supporting projects, and ensuring every branch can demo the product properly. That is the difference between simply distributing and truly representing a brand."

Founded in 2014 by members of the team behind some of the earliest in-wall and fully pivoting ceiling speaker designs, Origin Acoustics is now distributed in more than 50 countries worldwide. For Alltrade, established in 1989 and named Distributor of the Year at the Smart Building Awards 2025, the addition of Origin further reinforces its position in the architectural audio and smart home categories.

The full Origin Acoustics and OriginPRO ranges will be available through Alltrade's ten UK branches from July 2026.
