Focal launches high-end On Wall 300 series speakers for stereo and home cinema

French audio specialist Focal has unveiled two new high-end on-wall loudspeakers: the On Wall 301 and On Wall 302. Designed for both stereo and home cinema use, the new enclosures can either be wall-mounted or installed on a stand.

Following the launch of its 1000 Series in-wall / in-ceiling loudspeaker back in January, the On Wall 300 line ship with all the accessories required for mounting the loudspeakers; stands specially designed for the loudspeakers are also supplied as an optional extra.

Produced in its Saint-Étienne workshops, the On Wall 300s incorporate the brand’s proprietary Flax speaker drivers, with a cone made from French flax, and an aluminium/magnesium tweeter.

The On Wall 301 features two 4-inch Flax mid-bass speaker drivers, and one tweeter. The larger 302 offer four 100mm Flax MidBass drivers and one 25mm tweeter.

Offering an ‘angled’ silhouette, the models are available in Black Satin or White High Gloss finishes. Integrators can mix and match with other Focal products, including the 300 Series line of in-wall and in-ceiling loudspeakers, or the Chora, Aria, Kanta or even Dôme Flax loudspeakers.

Shipping later this month, the new Focal On Wall 300 Series sell for £999 (each) for the On Wall 301, £1,499 for the On Wall 302 and £799 for a set of two stands.
