Epson has unveiled a new professional 4k home laser projector range, the EH-Q series. Designed for high-end home cinemas and media applications, the lineup includes the EH-QB1000W/B, EH-QL3000W/B and EH-QL7000W/B. All are equipped with HDMI 2.1 connectivity, with 4K at 120Hz refresh rate, and an Auto Low Latency mode.

Each projector utilise Epson 3LCD laser technology, able to deliver 4K images up to 300-inches for the EH-QB1000 and 1,000-inches for the higher end EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 models (pictured top).

The EH-QL7000 is capable of an ultra bright 10,000 lumens, while the EH-QL3000 is rated at 6,000 lumens and the EH-QB1000 at 3,300 lumens. Laser life span is quoted at 20,000 hours.

Dynamic contrast is quoted at 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The EH-QB1000 supports HDR10+, with Dynamic Tone mapping, while its stablemates are HDR10 only.

Both the EH-QL3000 and EH-QL7000 are compatible with a wide range of interchangeable lenses, allowing integrators to better configure the desired image size, in any media space. Options such as an ultra-short throw, zero-offset lens allow them to be discreetly installed on ceilings. The interchangeable lenses also mean that the throw distance can be adjusted.

The projectors are compatible with a wide range of IP control systems, including Crestron, Control4 and RS232C/wired LAN support, while motorised lens shift, with powered zoom and focus, should make the projectors quick to set up.

Crestron, Control4 and RS232C/wired LAN support means the range can be easily integrated into a Smart Home Network to give an even more convenient viewing experience.

Ben White, product manager for the professional home projectors at Epson Europe, describes the launch as “an exciting new range for Epson”, adding: “These professional home projectors offer seamless integration into bright environments without compromise, and come packed with technology and features to make these attractive for any film, entertainment, sport or gaming enthusiasts looking for a more immersive experience.”

The EH-Q series will be available from 1 October 2024.
