Epson has lifted the curtain on a new generation of 4K laser home cinema projectors, utilising AI‑driven picture optimisation.
The range is centred on the latest iteration of Epson’s 3LCD laser platform, here enhanced with AI imaging powered by an MT9681 chipset with Matter support and Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant integration for smart‑home control.
All four models deliver (pixel-shifted) 4K resolution at screen sizes up to 500-inches, with brightness levels designed to suit both dedicated cinema rooms and everyday media rooms.
Epson says the goal is to combine high‑performance projection with simple setup and flexible integration.
The EH‑LS5000 and EH‑LS6000 are positioned as versatile home cinema projectors. The former offers 2,500 lumens, while the step-up EH‑LS6000 increases output to 3,400 lumens for brighter environments. Both beamers feature Epson’s AI PQ Scene 2.0+ processing, intelligent upscaling and motion optimisation, alongside HDR10 and HLG support.
For larger, more demanding installations, the EH‑LS7000 delivers 3,600 lumens with ISF‑certified image optimisation for premium home theatre projects.
Then there’s the EH‑LS7500, which introduces short‑throw capability to Epson’s professional home lineup for the first time, offering 3,500 lumens and large‑screen projection in compact spaces. Possible applications include indoor golf simulation and gaming.
All models use an upgraded laser engine with LD Boost Technology for higher brightness without increased noise, and Matter support enables integration with platforms including Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant.
The EHLS7000 retails for £2499.99, with the EHLS7500 priced at £2499.99. Other prices are TBC.
