High performance audio specialist Meridian will use CES 2023 to promote its commercial audio engineering consultancy and technology licensing service, EbM (Engineered by Meridian).

EbM aims to supply global businesses and premium brands with its audio technologies and expertise, to enhance the sonic performance of their products.

EbM currently works with a variety of brands across different sectors and markets, including Jaguar Land Rover, HiPhi, Kia, LG and Rivian. Less obviously, it also works with a number of specialist industry, including ASK Industries, Hyundai Mobis and Linstol.

During CES, EbM will be demonstrating Meridian’s all-new Vibrohaptic Audio technology, which integrates into a car seat in order to emulate a more natural and visceral listening experience, or any given environment (it could also be integrated into airline seats or gaming environments).

This technology generates tactile signals from the audio content that are transmitted through the seat to create a more immersive listening experience.

EbM offers a wide portfolio of specialised services and unique technology products which it says will foster opportunities for B2B partnership and growth.

EbM’s services can be tailored to any listening application and include: Engineering and consultancy; proprietary DSP technology licensing; third-party technology licences; audio tuning consultancy; marketing services and consultancy, and brand licensing.

“At EbM, we understand the value that combining the expertise of different teams can bring to innovative projects,” said Paul Andrews, Director of Sales at EbM.

“Our knowledge of psychoacoustics, combined with an understanding of the challenges posed by different listening environments, are amongst the most important reasons customers choose to work with us. We love a challenge, so whether it’s blue sky thinking for a new product or technology or optimising an existing solution – our engineering can add real commercial advantage. Sometimes we will add the Meridian brand and sometimes we just let the experience speak for itself.”
