Bluesound, the hi-res multi-room audio brand, has confirmed that the latest generation of its Powernode (N331) wireless streaming amplifier now supports Dirac Live. Through this update, listeners can analyse their room’s acoustic properties and optimize speaker performance for a more accurate and balanced listening experience.
Dirac Live goes beyond traditional room EQ systems, to correct both frequency response and impulse response, and address common acoustic challenges such as reflections, standing waves, and uneven bass.
The system helps eliminate distortions introduced by the listening environment itself. The result is tighter low-end performance, improved clarity across frequencies, and a more precise, lifelike soundstage.
“Great sound isn’t just about the right amp or speakers, it’s how that gear interacts with the room,” said Matt Simmonds, Brand Manager at Bluesound. “By bringing Dirac Live to the Powernode, we’re giving listeners more tools to unlock the full potential of their Bluesound system, no matter the space.”
To enable Dirac Live room correction, users can purchase the Dirac Live Calibration kit from bluesound.com or an authorized Bluesound retailer, which includes a high-precision measurement microphone for accurate room analysis. Powernode joins the Node, Node Icon and Powernode Edge, offering Dirac Live compatibility.
