Deezer has upgraded its '360 by Deezer' immersive audio app, allowing its library of 360 Reality Audio music to be cast to Sony’s SRS-RA5000 or RA3000 wireless speakers. Until now, the only way to experience Sony’s 3D audio format was on headphones.
Users need only to open the 360 by Deezer app, pick their favourite track, and select the ‘cast’ button in the top right-hand corner to begin.
Like Dolby Atmos, 360 Reality Audio is an object based sound system, wherein independent sound objects, be they vocals or instruments, are placed spatially in a virtual soundstage.
The 360RA library of music and albums includes artists such as Doja Cat, David Bowie, and Alicia Keys. Fans can also discover dedicated 360 editorial playlists on the app’s recommendation page. This includes the new Deezer “360 Sessions” playlist featuring live performances from global stars like Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie and Circa Waves.
“We know our HiFi fans appreciate every detail and emotion that can be felt through 360 Reality Audio. Now, with Our ‘360 by Deezer’ app, all they have to do is hit cast to have the home experience of their dreams,” said Franziska Schwarz, VP Partnerships.
The app can also cast to regular speakers, but the soundstage will be in stereo.
