Loudspeaker specialist DALI, has unveiled the Phantom E-WR series, comprising the Phantom E-60 WR and Phantom E-80 WR.

Designed for custom install applications both indoors and out, the models are designed to be weather resistant, constructed to endure temperatures from -20°C to +60°C and able to handle up to 100 per cent humidity levels.

With an IP65 rating they're protected against indirect water spray, dust, and sand.

For maximum installation flexibility, the E-WR series feature swing-out dogleg clamps that require no specialist tools. There are also midrange and high-frequency level adjustments, to better cope with a host of different acoustic environments.

The E-WR series also incorporate a DALI-designed driver featuring a waterproof polypropylene cone and natural rubber surround. The E-60 WR features a 6.5-inch driver, while the E-80 WR has an 8-inch driver. The result, we’re told, is an uncoloured, natural midrange, and a deep, rich low-frequency performance.

Both the E-60 WR and E-80 WR sport a 25 mm textile dome tweeter. It’s housed in a decoupled unit which is forward-mounted to prevent colouration from bass/midrange vibrations.

Helpfully, there's a 5° tilt in its drivers within the ceiling mount chassis, for precise acoustic dispersion directed towards the primary listening area.

Additional refinements include a conformally coated crossover, stainless steel clamp screws, epoxy coated grille magnets, and humidity-resistant level adjustment switches.

Available from March, the Phantom E-60 WR and Phantom E-80 WR are priced at £299 (€299/$450) and £399 (€399/$550) respectively.
