In a move of significant import for the high-end home theatre market, HARMAN Luxury Audio has appointed CUK as JBL Synthesis distributor for the UK and the Republic of Ireland, covering all market sectors.
HARMAN Luxury Audio comprises five premium brands from the HARMAN stable, including JBL Synthesis, one of the very first companies to elevate cinema sound in the home.
In 1983, Lucasfilm selected JBL to develop the first commercial THX-licensed cinema speaker system. JBL Synthesis currently offers some of the most advanced multichannel audio systems available in the world, suitable for deployment in residential spaces and private home cinemas.
Stuart Thomson, Managing Director at CUK GROUP, stated, "We're delighted to have the opportunity to develop the world-famous JBL Synthesis brand in the UK and Ireland. As the original line of high-end home cinema sound systems from the early 1990s, JBL Synthesis engineering has evolved to offer today's cinema designers a truly versatile choice of high-performance architectural speakers, timbre-matched for discreet, dynamic, and complete object-based immersive sound in a wide range of environments including the largest dedicated private cinema and media room projects.
"Drawing from its commercial heritage, JBL Synthesis meticulously designs, tests, and evaluates its speakers to work seamlessly together and offer the data required to meet RP-22 recommendations. As part of CUK's heightened support and training, we will showcase two Certified JBL Synthesis systems at our new demonstration facility at Ascot."
Scott Campbell, Director of Sales, HARMAN Luxury Audio, describes the move as “an exciting announcement, saying: “We have full confidence in CUK's abilities to help take the JBL Synthesis line to market and, ultimately, into our customers' homes and premises. We are excited about working closely with the CUK team and look forward to an extremely successful partnership."
CUK was founded in 2005 by Managing Director Stuart Thomson, and is now one of the leading distributors of audio, video, and control products. East Kilbride-based CUK offers customers value-added services via a highly qualified team of channel managers and support staff commanding a wide breadth of experience encompassing all aspects of the audio industry, including commercial audio visual, leisure, live music, voice alarm and security, conferencing, recording, broadcast, and residential AV.
