The new Control4 Halo Touch Remote control is now shipping worldwide from Snap One. The second model in the Halo line, the Touch has a machined aluminium construction, for enhanced durability, as well as voice integration with Apple TV and Xfinity.
The new wand features a customisable 3.2-inch colour touchscreen with all new graphical interface, backlit buttons, push-to-talk voice control and dual-band WiFi support.
The Halo Touch boasts an upgraded dual-band WiFi antenna to support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, said to improve reliability with up to five times stronger connections than previous remote models.
When users press the new Voice button on the Halo Touch remote, Control4 captures the user’s command with the embedded microphone and dynamically routes it to the proper voice service via proprietary new technology.
Enhanced TV functionality includes Watch With Voice, and a Recently Played function. There’s also full control of the new Control4 Vibrant Linear Lighting Line.
“When Control4 users want something changed immediately, especially relating to TVs or music, their best option is often a handheld remote that has always-on performance and offers one-touch access to volume and content controls,” said Eric Fritz, Director of Product Management - Control. “With the Halo Touch, users are treated to a premium experience that offers all the latest control methods including voice commands and a bright, easy-to-use touchscreen.”
All the new features and capabilities offer a more intelligent remote control that enables simple media browsing and full control of devices, scenes and automations for AV, lighting, and other programming, suggests Fritz.
