Chord Electronics’ Ultima integrated stereo amplifier is now in full production and available to buy worldwide, the company has confirmed.
The high-end amplifier, first seen at the Munich High End show, is listed at £8,500, and available via the company’s international retailer network, across 54 countries.
Designed by Chord Electronics’ founder, owner and chief engineer, John Franks, the British made model is derived from the legendary Ultima preamp and mono power amps, and sports the brand’s distinctive industrial design. It offers 125W power output and features the latest dual-feed-forward error-correction topology.
The Ultima integrated has four inputs, one fully balanced and three unbalanced, each protected by individual buffering and selective filtering from unwanted radio frequency interference. Additional features include an AV bypass input, advanced low-distortion power supplies, plus a balanced preamp output for connection to additional power amplifiers.
