Cable specialist, Chord Company, has released a CI specific loudspeaker cable intended for AV systems and installations where cables may be non-removable.

Developed at Chord Company’s Wiltshire factory, and built on the time-proven Leyline and LeylineX platform, the new Leyline2XL speaker cable promises minimal signal loss thanks to the twisting of the wires, which Chord says helps to cancel out electromagnetic interference from external sources and reduce crosstalk between the cables.

The cable is based on robust 14AWG tin-plated copper conductors which prevent oxidisation and improve high-frequency performance. The Leyline2XL is said to be particularly reliable over long runs.

Applications include two channel Hi-Fi system and multichannel home theatres. Its flexible construction allows for easy installation in tight spaces, also making it the ideal choice for professional installers and DIY enthusiasts alike.

For complete installation confidence, the Leyline2XL is fire safety CPR rated (Dca -s1, d1, a1) and for installers, can be supplied in a handy 152m easy-pull box with metre marking.

Available now, the Leyline2XL is priced at £10 p/m.
