CEDIA has announced details of its Smart Home Technology Conference programme for ISE 2026, taking place February 3-5 at FIRA Barcelona.
The 2026 conference will deliver an expanded programme designed to equip integrators, designers, and business owners with the knowledge and practical tools needed to navigate an increasingly complex smart home landscape.
This year’s conference features 36 sessions over three days, grouped into six focused tracks: CEDIA Standards, AI & Emerging Technologies, Lighting & Wellness, Networking, Cybersecurity & Privacy, Home Cinema & Immersive Audio, and Business. Each session will offer attendees actionable insights, technical knowledge, and strategies to foster long-term business growth.
“Our goal is to help integrators and business owners navigate uncertainty and build a roadmap for ongoing growth,” said Paul Dolenc, Vice President of Education & Training at CEDIA. “Every session is crafted to address real-world challenges and deliver practical takeaways, ensuring that attendees leave equipped for the future business and technical challenges they face.”
The CEDIA Standards track introduces the new RP1 Performance Facts initiative, designed to bring greater consistency and engineering rigour to system design. Four new 90-minute courses, led by Peter Aylett, Chair of the CEDIA Education Committee, will help integrators interpret and apply loudspeaker and amplifier specifications to achieve better performance transparency in their projects.
The AI & Emerging Technologies track will delve into the latest developments from Silicon Valley, with Rich Green returning to lead his signature “Future Technologies” session. Attendees can also experience hands-on “AI Live” workshops, demonstrating how artificial intelligence tools can be deployed to improve operational efficiency, design workflows, and customer experience.
In the Lighting and Wellness track, Andy Bull will lead sessions on the art and science of lighting design, including “Principles of Good Lighting Design” and “Lighting for Life: Why Human-Centric Design Matters in Smart Homes.” The aim is to give integrators the skills to design environments that promote wellbeing and comfort.
The Networking, Cybersecurity & Privacy track, led by Jeff Sonnleitner, will cover secure system design, network architecture, and practical cybersecurity strategies for residential projects. The sessions will also introduce new CEDIA initiatives to help integrators communicate the importance of data security and privacy to clients.
The Home Cinema & Immersive Audio sessions will explore acoustic simulation, room mode management, and subwoofer alignment for low-frequency accuracy. Attendees will gain insight into advanced cinema design principles and techniques for optimising immersive audio delivery.
Meanwhile, the Business track will focus on practical growth strategies, with topics including process efficiency, expanding lighting design services, managing takeover projects, and fostering better collaboration with designers and architects. The sessions are designed to provide real-world advice from integrators and business specialists.
Further details on session registration, scheduling, and pricing will be available soon via www.cedia.net and the ISE 2026 official website.
