CEDIA has released details of its schedule for ISE 2023, unveiling a comprehensive, professional development programme and a variety of interactive sessions at the Smart Home Technology stage.

Certain to attract interest will be its Smart Home Technology Conference, which promises in total some 65 hours of professional development. Located in the CC1 conference suite, the sessions will focus on Technical Excellence, Business Growth, and Future Trends, with a focus on home technology integration. Here’s what you need to know…

The Maximising Your Projects Potential – The benefits of integrating AV with BMS controls session (12.30pm. Tuesday January 31) will leave attendees empowered, with a better understanding of how to create unified installations plus some practical takeaways on how to level up their projects.

The Double Bass Array – Next Generation session (12.30 p.m. Wednesday February 1) discusses the concept of the double bass array (DBA) and the ways it can be effectively and predictably implemented in rooms to deliver exceptional results.

The RP22 Immersive Audio System Design Recommended Practice Workshop (2.30pm. Thursday February 2) will introduce the guidelines in RP22 — the new Recommended Practice that discusses and defines objective performance targets for audio systems and room design across all private entertainment spaces.

Additionally, CEDIA will bring ISE attendees two opportunities to assess whether they are ready to earn internationally accredited certifications from CEDIA. Attendees can take the certification review courses to determine any knowledge gaps they might have and identify a professional development plan to successfully work towards the Cabling and Infrastructure Technician (CIT) and Integrated Systems Technician (IST) certifications.

CEDIA Member Program Specialist, Imogen Dent, and COI instructor Damien Smith will offer a new course as part of the revamped CEDIA Outreach Instructor (COI) programme, which teaches presentation skills, social media best practices, and engaging with local design and build industry partners.

Also at ISE 2023, CEDIA is introducing the Smart Home Technology stage in the residential zone, hall 2. A series of panel discussions will tackle the challenges facing the home technology integration industry today and in the near future, with topics including modern marketing and promotion, the importance of best practice, supply chain management, innovative verticals, and more.

The CEDIA Conference Pass is available to both CEDIA members and non-members and provides entry to all the CEDIA education sessions during the show. The Conference Pass is available for pre-booking at an exclusive Early Bird rate of €245 for members and €350 for non-members until 9th January 2023. Alternatively, individual courses can be booked on an à la carte basis for those with more limited time.

CEDIA will also host a Connection Hour in the CEDIA booth (2H600) at 5pm. from Tuesday – Thursday. There will also be a Members’ Reception on Wednesday at 5:30pm. at the FIRA, collocated with the CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference.
