Champagne corks were popping at the Brewery in London last night, as the winners of the 2024 CEDIA Smart Home Awards EMEA programme were announced. 300 AV professionals gathered to celebrate the industry’s success stories. The big winners included Aloud AB, MACBEE, and M.E.G.A. AV Installations Ltd, who all walked away with three accolades each, while Rako Controls Ltd, received two wins.

Industry veteran Peter Alloway took home the Special Recognition award.

"The EMEA awards evening was a night to remember, with industry professionals from at least thirteen countries joining us to mark the occasion," said Daryl Friedman, Global President and CEO of CEDIA. "It’s amazing to see that the standard of work that is being completed by our members remains at a high level across the region – from Sweden to the Netherlands and India to the UK. We not only celebrated the installation work, but also highlighted the latest market-leading products and individuals who have provided invaluable volunteer efforts."

The annual black-tie event began with a drinks reception in the King George III Room, sponsored by Meridian. Attendees then moved into The Porter Tun, where Alex Capecelatro, Chairperson of the CEDIA Board, welcomed attendees to the celebratory evening. Matt Nimmons, CEDIA EMEA Managing Director began the awards presentation by acknowledging key individuals in the industry before Daryl Friedman took to the stage to reinforce the message of recognition, emphasising the influential work that CEDIA and its members have been doing to tackle the problem head on.

After a three-course dinner, the focus turned back to the awards, with integrators, manufacturers, and distributors all receiving a coveted CEDIA Award. The celebrations continued with the after-dinner drinks reception, sponsored by Sonos, which featured roulette wheels and blackjack tables amongst the entertainment.

The event was supported by Monitor Audio (headline sponsor), Meridian (drinks reception sponsor), Sonos (after party sponsor), Habitech (entertainment sponsor) and Control4, LG Electronics, Lutron and Sonance (associate sponsors).
