CAVD adds Theory ahead of architectural product launch

Custom AV Distribution has added Theory Audio Design (Theory) to its portfolio. The California-based manufacturer, which produces high-powered integrated audio systems, including soundbars, loudspeakers, subwoofers, will soon introduce a range of architectural products for custom integration, all powered by compact amplified loudspeaker controllers.

This will include an entire line of architectural loudspeakers and subwoofers ideal for residential and commercial surround sound and distributed audio applications.

Jamie Pullen of CAVD said: “We cannot wait to show our integrators what this sound system can do. When I saw and heard Theory at the CEDIA Expo it was the most exciting product I had experienced in a long time, and still is.”

The current Theory product line includes three soundbars designed to complement 65-, 75- and 85-inch TV screens. All models feature carbon fibre woofers and compression HF drivers, and can deliver up to 124dB.

Other products in the line-up include a multi-use surface-mount loudspeaker, 12-inch and 15-inch in-room subwoofers, and the ALC-1809 Amplified Loudspeaker Controller, described as ‘the secret sauce of every Theory system.’
