Canadian Hi-Fi specialist Bryston has launched the BP-19, a high-end analogue preamplifier, in the UK. Distribution is via PMC.
The pra-amp sports two pairs of RCA phono outputs, one pair fixed, one pair variable, and two pairs of balanced XLR outputs. Inputs include two pairs of balanced XLR input jacks, and four pairs of RCA input connectors. THD+N is said to be less than 0.0006%.
Bryston says the preamp’s signal path features a fully balanced design from input to output, ‘using an array of very tightly matched components and a compact circuit architecture’, for the lowest possible noise and superior common mode rejection.
The BP-19 also employs an advanced volume attenuator, ensuring long-lasting, quiet, linear performance.
The BP-19 is available with 17-inch faceplates in Silver or Black, or 19-inch to order.
For the devoted music enthusiast, this translates to more lifelike performances, enhanced detail, and a greater sense of dimensionality and dynamics from all recordings, says the brand.,
Bryston is also offering a BP-2 moving magnet (MM) phono stage circuit as an onboard option, recognised for its low noise and minimal distortion.
Bryston also offers specially designed, custom-made step-up transformers to accommodate low output Moving Coil (MC) cartridge designs.
Control options comprise the supplied remote, as well as RS232 and IP when connected to a smart home ecosystem. HEX codes are available for use with a universal style remote control.
The Bryston BP-19 preamplifier retails for £5,395, or £6,395 with built in MM phono stage £6,395, and £7,395 with MM and MC.
