Bluesound has introduced two new soundbars designed for home cinema and media room use. The Pulse Cinema and smaller Pulse Cinema Mini represent a complete redesign of the company’s previous models, offering enhanced driver arrays, Dolby Atmos support and integration with BluOS multi-room streaming.
The flagship Pulse Cinema is a 1194mm wide 3.2.2 Dolby Atmos soundbar, built to partner TVs 55-inches and larger. It employs a 16-driver array with dual 4-inch woofers, a dedicated centre channel and upfiring speakers, driven by 500 watts of total system power.
The Pulse Cinema Mini offers a more compact 838mm form factor for smaller rooms, delivering 280 watts through angled drivers and dual 4-inch woofers. The Mini also uses virtualised height effects and lower total power, making it a better match for bedrooms, apartments or secondary systems.
It shares the same industrial design cues as its larger sibling.
Both bars support HDMI eARC, optical and analogue connections, as well as AirPlay 2 and two-way Bluetooth. A built-in subwoofer output allows for wired or wireless bass expansion, and both units can be scaled into a wider home cinema system by pairing with Bluesound’s Pulse Sub+ , with additional wireless speakers for rear channels.
At the heart of both is BluOS, Bluesound’s hi-res multi-room platform, offering playback up to 24-bit/192kHz, MQA decoding and access to over 20 streaming services including TIDAL, Qobuz and Spotify. Control system support includes Crestron, Control4 and RTI. They can also be operated with the BluOS Controller app.
The Bluesound Pulse Cinema and Pulse Cinema Mini are available from October 24, Priced £1149 and £799 respectively.
