Bluesound Professional has announced two new versatile ceiling speakers at Infocomm 2023. The BCS250 and BCS300 are passive and active PoE speakers that can be installed in-ceiling or, using an optional conversion package, as pendant speakers. They’re schedule to ship November 2023.
The BCS250 is a passive model designed for both low impedance and constant voltage applications, while the BCS300 is a PoE speaker with integrated streaming and amplification.
Both designs can be adapted into a point-centred hanging pendant speaker using Bluesound’s optional Pendant Kit attachment.
The BCS250 has a discreet flush mounted design, ideal when wall space is limited. Typical applications would be small cafés and shops, and both retrofit and new builds. It’s intended to partner the brand’s B170S Networked Streaming Stereo Amplifier.
The BCS300, in comparison, is an all in one power over ethernet solution, be it in-ceiling or hanging, and has a built-in music streamer and amplifier. Based on the BluOS multi-room platform, the BCS300 enables multi-zone control, speaker grouping and integrated networked music streaming from Bluesound Professional’s business music partners: SoundMachine, Qsic, Custom Channels and SiriusXM Music for Business.
