High -res audio specialist Bluesound has launched the Pulse Soundbar+, a Dolby Atmos wireless soundbar compatible with the wider BluOS ecosystem. The Pulse Soundbar+ can be fully integrated with smart home platforms, with drivers available for Lutron, Crestron, RTI and Elan. For ease of installation, it comes supplied with a wall mount bracket as well as two kickstand feet.
In addition to Dolby Atmos decoding, the new soundbar also supports 24-bit audio processing, multi-room streaming and is rated at 120 watts.
When paired with a Pulse Sub+, and Pulse Flex 2i wireless speakers for rear channel sound, it can be used to create a complete Dolby Surround experience.
Wired and wireless connectivity covers HDMI eARC, Apple AirPlay 2, two-way aptX HD Bluetooth, digital optical audio, analogue stereo and USB.
Under the lid is a custom-specified ARM Cortex A53 Quad-Core chipset, said to be 8 times faster than previous generations of Bluesound architecture. Two WiFi chips reduce network latency, making it particularly suitable for gaming applications.
The built-in BluOS wireless multi-room streaming technology can connect and sync audio to, from, and around any room in the home. It also works with voice assistants from Google, Amazon, and Apple.
Shipping in April, the Pulse Soundbar+ is available in black or white finishes, priced at £799 and £899 respectively.
