Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the Beosound Premiere, a statement soundbar that blends acoustic engineering with sculptural design. Crafted from solid aluminium and incorporating the brand’s new Wide Stage Technology, the system aims to deliver a three-dimensional immersive experience, both visually and sonically.
Developed to mark Bang & Olufsen’s centenary year, the Beosound Premiere is the latest example of the company’s design-led approach to premium home AV. The soundbar’s chassis, manufactured in collaboration with Factory 5 in Struer, Denmark, uses a pearl-blasted aluminium finish to create a satin matte surface. It houses ten custom-engineered drivers, including a prominent up-firing tweeter placed at the centre of the bar to introduce height and spatial detail.
A nod to Bang & Olufsen’s heritage is found in the tweeter’s housing, where 1,925 precision-milled perforations mark the company’s founding year. The design openly celebrates its engineering, rather than concealing drivers, the Beosound Premiere makes them a visible part of its design language.
Under the hood, Beosound Premiere features ten drivers and a dedicated up-firing unit designed to extend height and dimension. The brand’s proprietary Wide Stage Technology employs signal processing to create an expansive soundfield that gives the impression of additional external speakers, delivering a wide, tall and immersive listening experience.
For installers and integrators, flexibility appears key. The soundbar includes a fully integrated Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 decoder and supports Beolink Surround for seamless multi-speaker expansion. Auto room analysis ensures that the Beosound Premiere adapts its output to suit any space, whether used standalone or as part of a larger distributed audio setup.
A network of 90 LEDs provides subtle illumination inside the soundbar, giving users visual feedback as settings are adjusted, an example of Bang & Olufsen’s design philosophy that marries light, form and function.
Sustainability and longevity also play an important role. The Beosound Premiere is Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze, ensuring the product can be updated and serviced over time. Buyers who register with Beocare receive a 5-year warranty, reinforcing Bang & Olufsen’s emphasis on durability and aftercare.
To commemorate its launch, the Beosound Premiere Haute Edition has been introduced as a limited run of 25 units. Each features a precision-milled aluminium pattern radiating from the soundbar’s centre, echoing sound waves in visual form. The intricate milling process takes 17 hours to complete, with each unit individually numbered and accompanied by a limited-edition Beoremote One and certificate of authenticity.
Beosound Premiere is priced at £3,900 (€4,900 / $5,800) and will be available in Natural Aluminium (Dec 2025), Gold Tone (Feb 2026), and Black Anthracite (Mar 2026). Optional covers include grey melange fabric (£250) and solid oak or dark oak (£1,000), each individually shaped and hand-finished.
The Haute Edition is available now in select Bang & Olufsen stores, priced at £11,000 (€13,000 / $15,700).
