Bang & Olufsen is bringing its high-end headphone aesthetic to the Enterprise market with Beocom Portal, which adds business capabilities to the brand’s celebrated sound.
The brand hopes to appeal to home workers who don’t want to compromise audio quality, but have specific work requirements.
The return of the Beocom brand is a heritage move for Bang & Olufsen. It was first used in 1982, when the company entered the telephone business with stationary phones. Bang & Olufsen’s stationary phones went out of production in 1998, but now the name is reintroduced for the WFH era.
The headset ships with a pre-paired wireless dongle. Beamforming microphones isolate and amplify the voice of the user while cancelling out background noise. Touch controls offer rapid access to ANC and Mute functions.
The Beocom Portal is certified by Zoom Video Communications.
Jeff Fox, Strategic Alliances Marketing Lead at Zoom, said: “In this new era of hybrid working, we are seeing an increasing awareness around design and sound among our customers, especially the younger audience. They use Zoom on different devices in all kinds of everyday situations and they expect the devices to be high-quality and functional, and look great whether they are doing sport, travelling, relaxing, or working at home or from the office.”
Available in Black Anthracite, the Beocom Portal retails for £459.
