Bang & Olufsen has announced the expansion of its enterprise offering, with a number of products due to be certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom. The Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen hopes to target the growing number of hybrid workers.
It’s potentially a lucrative move for the Danish audio giant. The Microsoft Team and Zoom platforms have millions of daily users worldwide.
Several of the company’s products are already being used for hybrid work. According to John Howard, Head of Enterprise at Bang & Olufsen, the new certifications coming in 2022 will further improve the product experience and help accelerate Bang & Olufsen’s move into the enterprise business.
“Hybrid workers are moving towards multifunctional high-end audio products that can be used for both work and leisure, and they want to do that without compromising on quality and design. Bang & Olufsen is uniquely placed to fill this hole in the market, and we expect to grow our business over the next couple of years,” said John Howard and continued: “We create long-lasting, beautiful products renowned for their amazing sound, and getting our products certified will only further enhance their audio performance, connectivity, and functionality.
In 2021, Bang & Olufsen partnered with Cisco to design a premium business headset for hybrid workers. The brand also partnered with technology company HP to create audio experiences for the hybrid workspace, launching the Conferencing System, HP presence
“We absolutely see enterprise as a strategic focus area for us, and we are already seeing growing interest from companies all over the world, who wants to offer Bang & Olufsen speakers, headphones, and earphones to their employees. We will continue to expand our enterprise portfolio with new products and partnerships to help us grow our business,” said John Howard.
“We are always trying to find ways to improve the experience no matter if you are using our products for work or leisure. However, clear and seamless sound makes a huge difference in the hybrid work environment when you are in an online meeting or simply just want to concentrate and shut all surrounding noises out. By working with industry leading partners, we are able to offer the latest technology and software in our products.”
