AWOL Vision Brings Valerion brand Into core portfolio, intros new colour options for Pro 2 projector

AWOL Vision has formally integrated Valerion into its product portfolio, positioning the former standalone brand as a dedicated long-throw projector range within the wider AWOL family.

The move establishes a clearer product structure for the company, with ultra-short throw models grouped under the AWOL Aetherion line and long-throw projectors housed within the AWOL Valerion range.

Under the new naming convention, the former VisionMaster Max becomes the AWOL Valerion Max, while the VisionMaster Pro 2 is renamed the AWOL Valerion Pro 2. AWOL says the change reflects its intention to position all projection products under a unified brand identity while continuing to develop distinct product categories.

Alongside the portfolio update, AWOL has announced new colour options for the AWOL Valerion Pro 2 4K laser projector. Previously available only in black, the projector is now being offered in Purple Edition and Red Edition finishes.

The company says the new variants are intended to broaden the appeal of projection systems within contemporary living spaces, allowing projectors to function as visible design elements rather than products designed solely to disappear into an interior scheme. The black model remains on the table for those seeking a more traditional aesthetic.

The AWOL Valerion Pro 2 combines 4K UHD resolution with an RGB triple-laser light engine, delivering a quoted brightness of 3,000 ISO lumens and covering 110 per cent of the Rec.2020 colour gamut.

Additional features include a contrast ratio of up to 15,000:1 in EBL mode, support for screen sizes up to 300 inches, and compatibility with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode content. The projector also supports active 3D playback and incorporates Google TV streaming services.

AWOL quotes input lag as low as 4ms at 1080p/240Hz, making the projector suitable for high-frame-rate gaming applications as well as movie viewing.

The new purple and red edition AWOL Valerion Pro 2 projectors retail for £2,599, although each colour variant is available at a limited-time introductory price of £2,299.
