Swedish speaker specialist, Audio pro has unveiled two new speakers with integrated multiroom streaming support through AirPlay 2, GoogleCast and Audio Pro’s own ecosystem.

The bookshelf A28 and floor-standing A38 build on their A26 and A36 predecessors, promising improved performance courtesy of a new streaming chipset and support for Audio Pro’s updated multiroom streaming platform.

In addition to AirPlay 2 and GoogleCast designs, both speakers also offer Spotify Connect and Bluetooth.

A compact alternative to the tower A38, the monitor-style A28 can be positioned on shelves, AV furniture, or wall-mounted.

Both models feature 2 x 75W Class D amplification, with the A38 sporting a 25mm textile dome tweeter and two 114mm woofers, and the A28 25mm textile dome tweeter and one114mm woofer.

Jens Henriksen, CCO at Audio Pro said: “Our systems, nicknamed soundbar-killers, have become very popular over the years. The stereo sound they offer is something you cannot achieve with a soundbar. The fact that they also work excellently as part of a multiroom system for music, made it feel natural to take them to the next level, including equipping the A28 and A38 with three multiroom solutions in one, like our other multiroom speaker upgrades."

Available this month in two colourways, white and black, both models can be connected to a TV using HDMI ARC, allowing users to manage volume control using their TV remote control.

"Consumers do not need one solution for the TV and another for music listening, because these new speakers are equally suitable in both contexts," said Henriksen. Both the A28 and A38 have a subwoofer output, designed to match Audio Pro subwoofers.

Both A28 and A38 will respectively retail for £550 / €600 / $600 and £800 / €900 / $900 and will be available from audiopro.com
