Zuma intros Smart Bezel Voice lighting control technology

British technology start-up Zuma has introduced Smart Bezel Voice, the latest addition to its Lumisonic smart home product line-up.

Designed to enhance the ambience and hands-free functionality of living spaces, it brings Amazon Alexa voice assistance control to the light itself. With far-field microphones and echo cancellation built-in, the Smart Bezel Voice promises clear voice recognition, even in dynamic acoustic environments.

The Smart Bezel Voice is the first step in the company’s ‘Smart Bezel’ series, part of a larger strategy to eliminate unnecessary cables and complications from smart home systems.

Speaking on the launch, Morten Warren, Zuma Founder and CEO, said: "Alongside Zuma’s existing high-fidelity sound and LED lighting capabilities, this new invisible ceiling technology becomes part of the very fabric of a room. Striving for simplicity and ease of use, seeking calmer and more luxurious experiences with technology, our focus with this launch is to combine elegant living with intuitive product interaction and services. Smart Bezel Voice is a game changer for the smart home residential market."

With no need for complex installations, integrators can swap any existing Lumisonic bezel for the Smart Bezel Voice ‘in a matter of seconds’. A single Smart Bezel Voice is required per room. Available in Square and Round models, it can be quickly added to any existing Zuma area via a simple magnetic attachment, resulting in a completely seamless, hands-free user experience.

The Zuma Smart Bezel Voice retails for £149.99.
