ARCAM has announced software updates for its HDA AVR range and select Hi-Fi separates, which it says will deliver enhanced performance and new features for users.
The updates apply to the HDA AVR11, AVR21, AVR31, AV41, and HDMI 2.1 versions of AVR5, AVR10, AVR20, AVR30, and AV40.
The 1.62 2057 (Net 2057) update improves eARC operation via HDMI 2.1 and enables TIDAL High Res streaming up to 192kHz via TIDAL Connect. ARCAM says it will extend the Net 2057 update to all HDMI 2.0 AVRs following final testing, with availability expected ‘in the first half of 2025’.
Currently, Arcam owners can install the update via USB; the company is looking to introduceover-the-air (OTA) updates at some point in the future.
ARCAM is also bringing TIDAL High-Res streaming capabilities to its SA30 streaming integrated amplifier and ST60 streamer, allowing playback up to 192kHz via TIDAL Connect. The SA30 and ST60 updates are also available for USB download.
Owners, dealers and integrators should download the latest update files from the ARCAM website and install them via USB. Comprehensive installation instructions are available online.
