Harman Audio brands JBL and Arcam have extended Roon Ready support across a range of receivers, processors and amps.Roon Ready exclusively applies to network devices that have Roon’s streaming technology built in and means that these devices transparently discover and connect to Roon without any configuration to deliver bit-perfect audio.
To certify as Roon Tested device, a product must also work over USB, HDMI, AirPlay, Google Cast, and other protocols. Users can also take advantage of Roon’s multi-room flexibility as well as the system’s integrated music library.
JBL Synthesis has Roon Ready and Roon Tested status for its SDP-55 AV processor and the SDR-35 Class G AV receiver. Both embrace 16-channels of native processing, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X 3D, Auro 3D, IMAX Enhanced, Dirac Live, Logic16, Network Streaming, Dante, with the SDR-35 adding 7 x 100w of Class G amplification.
To get the best from Roon, users of the JBL SDP-55 and SDR-35 should ensure that their machines are running software v1.46.
Arcam has announced Roon Ready status for five of its models: the AVR10, AVR20, and AVR30 AV receivers; the AV40 AV processor; and SA30 class G intelligent amplifier. To ensure that models are running the latest Roon certified software, existing AVR 10/20/30 and AV40 users should run ARCAM Software v1.46, while SA30 users should check for ARCAM Software V867.
The JBL pair and five ARCAM models have been profiled by the Roon engineers, alongside brand engineers, to ensure simple setup and effortless daily use.
