Ambisonic Systems unveils Marquee Home Theater system

Ambisonic Systems by Origin Acoustics has unveiled its first dedicated High-Performance Planar Ribbon home theatre system, the Ambisonic Marquee Home Theater.The brand is known for outdoor cinema solutions in the US, but this is its first dedicated home theatre.

The system, which will make its bow at CEDIA Expo 2024, is comprised of the bi-amped AM5600 L/C/R front speakers, AM3600 surround speakers, AM2600IC in-ceiling speakers, AM2600IC angled in-ceiling speakers, AM3600A angled surround speakers and AMB5600 10-inch in-wall subwoofer. All speakers include Ambisonic Systems magnetic planar ribbon tweeter and planar ribbon coaxial.

The bi-amped AM5600 LCR speakers employ a 3-inch magnetic planar ribbon tweeter with exclusive waveguide, two 5 ½-inch mid-range, and two 8-inch mid woofers made of woven fibreglass.

The AM3600 surrounds feature a 3-inch magnetic planar ribbon tweeter, and two 5 ½-inch woven fibreglass woofers.

The in-ceiling AM2600IC can be angled toward the listening area and features a 1 ½-inch magnetic planar ribbon tweeter and an 8-inch coaxial planar ribbon. Integrators should note it fits into the standard Origin Acoustic 10-inch cut-out.

The AM3600A Angled Surround speakers can be used either as a height speaker or rear surround speaker, and feature a 1 ½-inch magnetic planar ribbon tweeter and an 8-inch coaxial planar ribbon.

Finally, the AMB5600 subwoofer features dual 10-inch fiberglass woofers, but at less than 4-inches deep, fits into standard stud walls.
All but the AM2600A are constructed from extruded aluminium; the AM2600A is made of MDF. There’s a choice of on-wall and discrete in-wall configurations.

Completing the package is the Origin PRO amplifier, with custom DSP profiles to optimise performance.
We’re told the Ambisonic Marquee Home Theater System will be available by the end of the year.
