A complete vinyl-based hi-fi stereo system in a box has been released by Gadhouse. The Duke & Roy Hi-Fi Stereo Turntable package, which offers easy installation straight from the box, combines a Bluetooth enabled turntable with matching bookshelf speakers - no other kit is required.
The Duke Oak belt-drive turntable has obvious vintage appeal, with its oak-crafted design. It comes with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge preinstalled and offers AptX HD Bluetooth for casual streaming, to supplement 33 1/3 and 45 RPM disc spinning.
The system also has an optical digital audio input, able to take a feed from a TV, making it a viable alternative to a traditional soundbar, as well as a subwoofer output, for use with an active subwoofer. The Roy bookshelf speaker enclosures comprise a 3.5-inch woofer, 25mm tweeter. Total power output is 2 x 30 watts.
The Duke & Roy is available now, priced £779 ($990 / €935).
