Meridian will unveil a reinvigorated Sooloos multiroom system at the upcoming Munich High End show (May 14-17). The company says that it has “devised a roadmap to evolve its Sooloos audio platform rapidly in a number of directions.” Key to this evolution is a retooled user interface. “Meridian has always believed that its customers are best served by high performance products that are designed as part of a stable, dedicated and complete end-to-end audio system,” it says.
The company says it has poured significant resources into product development over the last 18 months, with the result that several next-generation products will debut at the audiophile show. These include the DSP320 (pictured below), an architectural loudspeaker designed for in-ceiling use, but also slim enough for in-wall applications. The new speaker is said to deliver similar tone qualities and a compatible performance to meridian’s much-admired free-standing DSP loudspeakers.
Meridian will also use High End to showcase its Special Edition DSP Digital Active loudspeakers, said to “provide the most revealing, lifelike and powerful performance of any Meridian loudspeaker to date.” The company will also champion its MQA audio encoding technology, which claims to fundamentally change the way music is distributed and consumed. The company says it will be the only manufacturer at Munich with MQA ready hardware on view.
