Meridian Audio will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year with a number of high profile product launches, events and partnerships in a “drive to provide the very best in High-Res Audio solutions.”
Meridian recently launched the 218 zone controller and 258 power amplifier (pictured below), designed to deliver a comprehensive home theatre solution, regardless of existing audio and multi-zone media systems. The 218 and 258 amplifiers use Meridian up-sampling technology to improve audio quality. It hints that more premium solutions are just months away.

Meridian also continues to develop partnerships that offer dealers access to a comprehensive range of high-end home cinema solutions. Distributed by Meridian, the Barco Loki Dual Laser projector is available in two resolutions, 3840 x 2160 or 5120 x 2160, and has a native 2.37:1 aspect ratio. Integrators can complete premium home theatre installs with DT Screens and Cinema-ATS acoustic products.

To make specification easier for CI professionals, Meridian’s complimentary Design and Specification Service integrates all of its partners’ technology, including Barco projectors, DT Screens and Cinema-ATS panels.
Meridian also recently launched its Dealer School training initiative. Hosted at Meridian HQ in Huntingdon, the programme focuses on giving dealers the full range of skills they need to design and create state of the art cinema installations. Integrators can participate in new dedicated training sessions on four key areas, as well as two existing courses.

Finally, to complete its celebrations, Meridian is organising a fortieth anniversary event at CEDIA San Diego, on September 8, where a number of new products will be introduced. This will be followed in London with a product launch event later in September, outlining plans for the coming year, and at ISE 2018 where additional new products will be unveiled to the European market as a continuation of its Ruby celebrations.
