Loewe intros 55-inch Connect ID Smart TV

The world's most customisable smart LED TV, the Loewe Connect ID, is now shipping in a larger 55-inch screen size. The bigger panel joins the already available 32-, 40-, and 46-inch models. Unlike other commercially available televisions, the Connect ID is available in multiple hues and configurations, making it an attractive prospect for installers looking for something a little unique in the cookie-cutter flatscreen market. The company maintains there are 2,160 colour design options possible, derived from a mixture of 12 colour combinations and 30 different finishes.

The handsome looking 200Hz HD screen is 3D compatible and offers the option of an integrated 500GB hard drive recorder. In addition to an Ethernet input, Wi-Fi connectivity is built-in, which should simplify networking. The brand also offers the Loewe Assist Media App for iPad, which provides an intuitive way of controlling and recording TV.

Once online, the Connect ID set offers access to Loewe's MediaHome Smart TV hub, as well as internet access using Loewe MediaNet. An installation of multiple Connect ID sets allows users to stream content from the hard drive of one, directly to the hard drive of another, using Loewe DR+ Streaming technology, with Follow Me functionality.

The Connect ID 55 has a retail price of £2,495. The optional DR+ HDD recording and streaming feature adds an additional £300. Custom Install distribution is via AWE Europe.
