LayerCake AV distro system announced by HDanywhere, whole home solution to be previewed at ISE 2015

HDanywhere will preview LayerCake, a three-part whole-home AV distribution system, comprised of a 8x8 video matrix, a 12x12 audio matrix and an 8-zone power amplifier, at ISE 2015.  With LayerCake, installers can deliver up to eight zones of multiroom HD video and up to twelve zones of audio. When launched, the system will be sold in a variety of configurable packages. The standard package will feature a new fixed-format 8x8 HDBaseT-Pro (Class A) 4K capable video matrix, accompanied by a 12x12 stereo audio matrix and an 8-zone power amplifier (pictured above). Other LayerCake packages will use the existing HDanywhere mHub, mHub 4K and Modular HDMI matrices for the video distribution ‘layer’.

The two audio components in LayerCake systems are entirely manufactured in the UK, enabling installers to opt for British engineered audio distribution products to accompany the brand’s British-built Modular customisable video matrices. Chris Pinder MD at HDanywhere explains: “Although we are new to the field of audio, the manufacturing plant that we recently acquired in Worcestershire has been designing and building audio products since the early 1900s. We are grateful to be able to draw on century-old expertise during the designing of LayerCake and know that the system will be better because of it.”
