KEF has appointed AWE Europe to exclusively distribute its Ci range of in-wall, in-ceiling speakers and active sub-woofers, as well as its conventional loudspeaker lines, to the residential custom installation market.
Nick Bryant, KEF UK Sales Manager, says: "AWE is doing a terrific job for us in the CI sector. They understand CI dealers and their specialist requirements inside and out, which makes them our natural partners for this sector. The high level of training, advice and technical support they offer the KEF brand is also invaluable. We have several exciting product launches planned over the next few months alongside the development business initiatives, such as our KEF Certified Professional programme to help support the market."
KEF has been bolstering its presence in the custom install market of late, recently launching a series of 5.25-, 6.5- and 8-inch circle, square and rectangle models with ultra-thin bezels, new wider mounting leg fixings, protective PCB covers and moisture-resistant fixings and grilles.
"Over the past five years, we have worked closely with KEF to develop their business within the CI sector," says Stuart Tickle, managing director of AWE. "This agreement takes that partnership to another level. KEF is renowned for combining advanced audio technologies, brilliantly innovative engineering and superlative design. We are delighted to offer CI dealers exclusive access to this great range and look forward to building more business for the KEF brand in the next five years and beyond."
The arrangement will see a continuation of the KEF Certified Professional programme, which rewards the best installers in the industry with key benefits. The initiative is supported by a charter for installation, which details the specific criteria that must be met by the installer, KEF and AWE. Membership to the group ensures dedicated KEF and AWE support, exclusive access to selected KEF products, and additional discounts, marketing and training.
